California Distance Learning Project (CDLP) - Adult Learning Activities	Intermediate ESL/ABE Reading	Teacher Certification	The CDLP student activity print-out reflects the time allotted for each activity. This time equates to the proxy hours that are counted for the activities. Important: the teacher certifies that the short answer/essay activity was satisfactorily completed before assigning proxy hours. The teacher may request that a student re-submits the short answer activity several times before assigning the proxy hours. Crossroads Café	ESL Beginning Low to Intermediate High	Mastery	Students receive 10 proxy hours for each of the 26 units if the students masters each of the unit activities and tests with at least 70% proficiency.	North Carolina research studies	Crossroads Café is a video and workbook series that includes 26 lessons focusing on English Language skills development for ESOL learners. English for All (EFA)	ESOL High Beginning to Intermediate	Mastery	EFA contains five main stories with a total of 20 episodes included. Students receive 6 proxy hours for each unit completed. Important: Students must complete each unit exam with at least 70% proficiency before the proxy hours are awarded. There are a maximun of 120 proxy hours allowed.	California field research studies	English for All is a free internet-based, multi media program for English language learners. Each episode contains vocabulary, comprehension, and grammar exercises. The TCALL Clearinghouse Library has copies EFA episodes on DVD which local programs can borrow.
GED Academy	ABE/ Low ASE	Clocktime	The internal clock within the software system electronically tracks the exact time up to 125% of the recommended time on task for each assignment. No time is awarded unless the student completes and submits the assignment.
