Patricia Williams, Ph.D.

Patricia Williams has experience managing and writing Even Start grants. She served as the Arlington ISD Even Start Coordinator for seven years, from 1997 through 2004. During her service, the program participated as one of the five Texas Even Start research target sites for the Playing and Learning Strategies Pilot Project. From 2001-2003, she served on the Families First Consortium: Texas Even Start Statewide Family Literacy Initiative working on the Early Childhood Subcommittee. She served on the North Central Texas Consortium for Adult Education for six years and on the Head Start Policy Committee for Tarrant County Childcare Associates for two years. In addition, she was elected to, and served as, the North Region representative to Texas Learns State Even Start Advisory Board. Patricia holds a doctorate in Early Childhood Education and has twenty years of combined classroom teaching in prekindergarten, kindergarten, second grade, and the Reading Center in the public school. She has experience evaluating Even Start, Early Reading First, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, GREAT Centers, Title I and Title III, and Title V Population Based grants.
