Kwame A. Opuni, MA, M.Ed., Ph.D.

Dr. Opuni received a master’s degree in Social Studies, M.Ed. in Program Evaluation, and a Ph.D. in Educational Planning and Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He served as the director of the Center for Research on School Reform (CRSR) at the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, for six years (July 2001-July 2007). Dr. Opuni’s work background includes 19 years of educational research involving a diverse array of educational programs such as Computer Assisted Instruction, Bilingual/ESL Programs, Dropout Prevention/Recovery Programs, School Restructuring /Reform Initiatives, Discipline/Conduct Programs, Youth Health/Drug Programs, Tutorial/Remedial Programs, Academic Enhancement Programs, and Teacher Training/Induction Programs. He evaluates two Even Start Programs in the Houston area.
