Any person involved or interested in any facet of adult education is invited to join and promote adult education in Texas.


Leadership. To promote the development of a comprehensive education program for adults in the State of Texas.

Professional Growth. To promote and encourage the professional growth of teachers, administrators and staff in the field of adult education, developmental education, and continuing education.

Promotion of Adult Education. To promote the exchange of ideas and collaboration among professional and volunteer adult education programs and organizations at all levels in the State of Texas.

Linkage. To collaborate with local, state, regional, and national adult education organizations interested in adult and continuing education.


Scholarship Recognition. The organization awards annual scholarships to outstanding GED graduates and ESL students.

Outstanding Educator Recognition. Texas adult educators are recognized for their contribution to the field.

Membership Recognition. Certificates are awarded to adult education programs with 100 or more members.
