Prior Knowledge Needed

Understanding where to look for employment. Matching job skills to qualifications. Understanding different kind of applications.

Introduction

Go over general application. Discuss personal facts sheet. Discuss skillful methods in job interviews. Go over grooming, dress, and verbal and non-verbal communication.

Activity

To develop their personal fact sheet then to complete the general application.

The instructor will critique students as they do their individual mock interview.

Real-Life Connection

Students will have a data sheet when they fill out applications and they will have an understanding of behaviors and attitudes required for successful job interviews and will be prepared to go on a real job interview.

Will give a quiz on appropriate interview behaviors. Students will be graded on real job applications.
