Introduction Applying for a job is a challenging process for the adult learner. This activity requires students to apply for a position from a selection of positions, determine the best resume for the position, fill out a job application for the position, and write an appropriate cover letter for the position. |
Vocabulary |
Activity Each student will be able to read through a variety of job descriptions and resumes, and be able to cross-reference them. Once the student matches a resume with the appropriate job descriptions, and the student will then complete a job application based on the information from the resume. |

Evaluation Activity Complete job application based on your own skills. |

Real-Life Connection Role-play a job interview where student must answer several questions using irregular verb forms. |
Bridges Accommodations Pair off students into groups of two's and edit each other’s conversations. The student can use written and oral communication, as well as use a checklist of the proper, common and irregular verb. |
Benchmark Assessment Quiz of 10 irregular verbs. Could be closed format. |
