Activity/Procedures:

  • Unlock vocabularies, Use them in sentences
  • Use transparencies, teachers give directions, students follow.
  • Students make own maps.
  • Students give directions on how to get to their house from the school, hospital, grocery store, etc.
  • Small group: Discuss how to get home from Houston or major metropolitan center.

Evaluation/Assessment:

Students are to ask a secretary or aide for directions to a store and then report this to another student.
