The Lesson Plan
Introduce the lesson: Have an employer or human resource personnel come speak to the class regarding how to interview for a job. Download interview forms from the internet to provide examples for the students.
Teach the lesson:
Discuss questions on the forms and relate to personal experiences.
Practice the lesson:
Students will copy one question onto an index card and work with partner
to practice interviewing.
Assess the lesson:
Have students report back what they understood about
the interview process and what they need more help with.
Apply the lesson to the real world:
Teacher will model with a student prior to the assignment. Set up an
area in the classroom to represent an interview setting. Have students
pull a card from the question box and, two at a time, practice the
interview process.
