The Lesson Plan
Introduce the lesson:

have identified the symbols they know and discussed what they mean,
covering any remaining symbols that were not mentioned.

Have each student make different symbols using the construction paper,
then post them around the room. Then have each student go around the
room and match the symbols with correct name.
Assess the lesson:
Determine if the students were able to match the symbols with correct
names. Discuss which symbols looked similar and ways to tell them apart.
Apply the lesson to the real world:
Have the students locate on their own around town, etc., as many symbols
as they can and share with the class next time it meets.
