The Lesson Plan
Introduce the lesson:
Invite the school nurse to speak to the class about her/his role and
services provided to the students.
Teach the lesson:
As a class, discuss situations in which it might be important to recognize
and convey information related to medical or health emergencies at
home. Students might be willing to share their experiences in situations
of this nature.
Practice the lesson:
Using the template provided, each students will interview 4 other students
in the class and document health remedies these individual have used
at home. Each student will report back to the class the information
obtained during the interview.
