Before you begin

Objective: To organize information and write according to themes.

Materials: Pictures of basic vegetable and fruit vocabulary, template, pens

Estimated time needed to prepare for this lesson plan: 5 minutes

Estimated time needed to complete this lesson plan: 35 minutes

The Lesson Plan

Introduce the lesson:
Begin discussion by having students talk about the items that they like or dislike.

Teach the lesson:
Show the class pictures of various fruit and vegetables. Have them to begin thinking about items they see that they do or do not like.

Practice the lesson:
In pairs, students will interview each other and document likes and dislikes they identified from the pictures. The attach template will be used to record responses. One student is A and the other student is B. The paired students will report their partner’s responses back to the class.

Lesson could be extended to topics such as house repair tasks, physical activities, television programs, types of music, house cleaning chores, etc.
