The Lesson Plan

Introduce the lesson:
This is a perfect way to review vocabulary terms introduced during the week. Students will be able to recognize and identify terms. The list of vocabulary will consist of 10 to 15 terms per week.

Teach the lesson:
Teachers will introduce the game using two students. Say the word and give a definition. Students will argue that the definition is right and/or why it is wrong.

Practice the lesson:
Show a clip from TV. Discuss with the class the concept of playing a “game show”. Students will “argue” the definitions for a specified amount of time.

Assess the lesson:
At the end of the week, students will demonstrate mastery of the vocabulary words.

Apply the lesson to the real world:
Students will be able to use the terms successfully in the appropriate context. Students will be able to communicate, read, and understand articles that utilize the terms.
