Objective: To identify coins, bills or tokens needed for public transportation
Materials: Bills, coins, monopoly and allowance play money

Estimated time needed to complete this lesson plan: 1 hour
The Lesson Plan
Introduce the lesson:
Discuss importance of knowing values of bills and coins.
Teach the lesson:
Show and tell of various combinations of bills and coins.
Practice the lesson:
Give them bills and coins to practice with.
Assess the lesson:
Call out amount and get the correct bills and coins.
Apply the lesson to the real world:
Practice at grocery stores, convenience stores, filling station and garage
sales.
