Professional Development Training on the Texas Adult Education Standards and Benchmarks for ABE/ASE and ESL Learners

Training in content standards implementation is provided exclusively through the eight regional GREAT Centers. These professional development centers utilize the services of trainers certified through Project GREAT in November 2008 or later.

The format of the Texas Content Standards Training conducted by certified trainers will consist of a six-hour institute followed by a three-hour follow-up training conducted six to ten weeks later.

GREAT Centers obtain print copies of the Texas Content Standards Implementation Guide from the Clearinghouse at TCALL. The Guide is also published on the TCALL/Texas LEARNS Website.

The online version of the Implementation Guide as well as other resources related to the Texas Adult Education Content Standards and Benchmarks for ABE/ASE and ESL Learners may be found here.
