About Us

University of Texas El Paso
The West GREAT Center is unique among the GREAT 8 in that it is located in the Far West region but it serves the West region of the state. The West region is primarily rural and extends over a large geographic area-from the northern boundary of the state in the panhandle down to the southern boundary in Presidio County. Some of the cities that are in the region are Amarillo, San Angelo, Abilene, Big Springs, Midland, Lubbock, and Odessa. The following lists some of the literacy providers in the region with their respective contact information (for a literacy provider that serves your city, go to the Directory of Literacy Providers on the TCALL site and search by city or county name):
