University Course Tuition Reimbursement Program

The Far West Project GREAT Center reimburses regional adult educators and administrators for tuition paid for graduate credit and non-credit courses relevant to their professional development in adult education. Please read the following instructions:

  1. It is the teacher’s responsibility to gain admission into the programs, register for courses, and meet all the deadlines associated with the program and course.
  2. The teacher will receive the tuition reimbursement for completed coursework with a minimum grade of C. A transcript or other verification is required. No payments will be made for fees or books.
  3. Applications for tuition reimbursement will be processed on a first-come first-served basis. Eligibility is limited to one course per semester, subject to availability of funds.
  4. It is highly recommended that teachers receiving a tuition reimbursement, plan to obtain the Texas Adult Education Credential. (A university course in adult education is worth 30 of the 150 points needed to obtain the credential).
  5. To apply for the tuition reimbursement, fill out the “Course Tuition Reimbursement Form” found below and return it to the GREAT Center as soon as possible. Your program director also needs to sign your application.
  6. You need to receive a notification of course reimbursement approval from the GREAT Center before enrolling in the course. No tuition will be reimbursed without prior approval.
