Current Duties/Roles with TCALL

  • Development, management, procurement and circulation of TCALL’s library collection, inventory management & dissemination of training materials for use in TRAIN PD events.
  • Collaborate with Webmaster & other professional staff to develop & deliver content for Adult Ed & Literacy educators through TCALL’s website & other electronic media
  • Develop  & update library collection of loan & free resources through research & acquisition
  • Weed collection of obsolete resources w/input from other professional staff, State leadership staff & library users
  • Use library database software for original cataloging of new acquisitions
  • Ensure match of collection with library catalog database
  • Respond to library patron inquiries with resource recommendations
  • Promote dissemination of library resources via individual patron contacts
  • Email discussion lists, conferences & library bibliographies in consultation with other professional staff
  • Oversee all aspects of library circulation --- including overdue loans & borrower eligibility
  • Monitors quality & speed of customer service
  • Compiles data on collection development, materials acquisition & distribution for quarterly and annual reports to funders to include annual library inventory
  • Collaborates with Webmaster & other professional staff to develop the voice & content organization for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. Includes writing, editing & proofreading site content.
  • Works with technical team to maintain site standards for new development
  • May also be responsible for crafting website marketing, email newsletters & online outreach campaign.
  • Manages production, inventory,  & timely dissemination of training materials used in PD events facilitated in TRAIN PD Consortium in collaboration with PD team members,
  • Controls access to copyright materials in accordance with policies of TWC or other publishers as authorize
