What is LINCS?

The Literacy Information aNd Communication System, funded by the National Institute for Literacy, is a national, regional, state and local literacy infrastructure Leading the Literacy Field into the Information Age. Visit the National LINCS website at: http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/.

Through its state-level website: http://www-tcall.tamu.edu - TCALL (Texas Center for Adult Literacy and Learning) is the Texas partner in the LINCS system.

One of the goals of LINCS is to strengthen the literacy field through establishing free communication tools and systems for sharing expertise and resources. These include 16 national email discussion lists.

Subscribe to any of these NIFL email discussion lists or read archived postings at this web page: http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/discussions. In addition to these national lists, TCALL hosts state - level email discussion groups for administrators and teachers of adult and family literacy programs.
