Suggested Web Sites

Adventures in Assessment is now available on-line. This journal contains a range of issues and experiences pertaining to alternative assessment. This Web site lists the Table of Contents for past volumes and full text of some articles.

United States Immigration and Naturalization Service This Web site provides the most current information from INS.

"What is Free?" This site was formed by more than 30 Federal agencies to provide "resources you can make available that would enrich the Internet as a tool for teaching and learning."

GED 2000 Series Tests This site will help keep you current on the upcoming changes and recommendations to determine the structure of the new GED 2000 Series Tests.

"Keeping America Informed" is the home page for the Government Printing Office. This site provides access to information about GPO publications.

The PBS Literacy Link Web site includes these three new areas: "PeerLit", a searchable database of reviewed instructional Web sites; "GED Links"; and "Other Resources".

The ESLoop "is a collection of sites relevant to English Language Teaching and Learning on the World-Wide Web."

The National Center for Education Statistics offers "The Condition of Education, 1998" on their Web site. This is their annual report to Congress on significant national measures of the condition and progress of education at the time the report was written. Lots of reports and stats.

The Welfare Information Network's newsletter" features an article titled Education and Training Under Welfare Reform. It "summarizes policy issues, research findings, innovative practices, and resource contacts. Download your copy at this Web site.
