This publication consists of a list of books, videos, and other materials available through the Texas Agricultural Extension Service audiovisual library. The bibliography is divided into eight major categories:

Texas Challenged: The Implications of Population Change for Public Service Demand in Texas is a summary of a three volume, 996-page report developed by the Texas Legislative Council. "This publication is intended to be a convenient reference about the likely effects of projected population patterns on the demands for state services, particularly education, human services, job training, and criminal justice." A wonderful source of demographic projected changes between the years 1990-2030. This summary can be checked out from the Clearinghouse. The ERIC Clearinghouse on Adult, Career, and Vocational Education has many informative digests. The Texas Adult Literacy Clearinghouse is featuring two of these digests in this newsletter. The first is Adult Literacy Education: Emerging Directions in Program Development which discusses program content and greater consideration of the differences among students to help administrators improve their program. The second digest is Journal Writing and Adult Learning which covers the different types of journals, the benefits for the adult learner, and using journals effectively.
