SPECIAL ISSUE:

FAMILY LITERACY

This issue is dedicated to family literacy. The articles and the literacy materials are all related to this topic. Family issues affect every one in many ways. Because all students are a part of a family, we need to be aware of ongoing family literacy projects, the good practices occurring in family literacy, and the new materials on family literacy. Whether you work in ABE, GED or ESL or in an Even Start Family Literacy program, you can use the resources and information directly related to family literacy.

A special thanks for this issue go to the contributing editors: Don Seaman, Texas Center for Adult Literacy and Learning; Diane Browning, Robbie Moore, Larry Browning, of Baylor University; Carolyn Kessler, University of Texas at San Antonio, and Deborah Stedman of TEA. We hope you gain some insight into this growing field and will be able to apply it to your specific program!
