Together: Reading Activities for Parent and Child

This is a booklet designed specifically for parents with limited reading skills. This simple text offers parents who are developing their own literacy skills insight into fostering these same skills in their children. It presents parents with activities to encourage their children to read. It also lists specific children's books parents can use in conjunction with these activities. The booklet costs $3.50 each for 1 to 9 copies and $3.00 for 10 to 100 copies.

Stories Of Women With A Common Goal This is a collection of essays created by adult participants of Project PLUS, a ten county ACE Co-op program in San Marcos. Appropriate reading materials for adult new readers are scarce. This booklet as well as The Number One Team and The Magic Crystal, a story created by the children and staff of Project Plus, help fill that gap. It also provides an example that might be adopted by other programs. Contact the Clearinghouse at (800) 441-7323 or (979) 845-6615 for free copies.
