NOVA, a PBS program, provides program information, teacher-contributed lesson ideas, and links to interactive components of the program Web sites. It is user-friendly for teachers.

Learning Strategies Database

This site includes information on learning strategies compiled by personnel of the Center for Advancement of Learning (CAL) at Muskingum College. Some of the areas for which learning strategies are provided are: test-taking, time management, notetaking, and memory.

The STAR Center (Support for Texas Academic Renewal).

This site includes a self-pace guide titled The Teachers' Internet Use Guide, which is intended for those who want to use the Internet, but don't know where to start. Some of the contents are: developing standards-based instruction, using assessment to improve teaching and learning, and designing lessons plans. A "Lesson Bank" is included.

The Literacy Assistance Center offers the World Wide Web Institute for ABE/ESOL Teachers and Staff Developers which presents a Web-based Lesson Plan Gallery with lots of lesson plans for teachers.
