Professional Development: New Directions for Texas

Texas Even Start Association Chapter Forming

At a November training event, representatives from about twenty Texas Even Start programs met to consider forming a state chapter of the National Even Start Association. (See national website at http://evenstart.org/). Frankie Rivers of the Seguin ISD Even Start was elected President of the fledgling state organization, the purpose of which will be to provide a statewide voice and vision for Even Start Family Literacy programs. For updates as the Texas Even Start Association becomes organized, subscribe to TCALL's statewide Family Literacy email discussion group.
