Information about the Workplace Listserv....

To begin with, what is a listserv?

A listserv is an electronic mail (e-mail) discussion forum focusing on a certain field of interest. It's really a mailing list which sends e-mail messages to a group of people (subscribers). Subscribers can post messages for the entire group. A listserv moderator watches the discussions to keep them on target and to help maintain proper electronic etiquette.

How can I join the workforce listserv?

Just send an e-mail to: listproc@literacy.nifl.gov

Leave the subject line blank.

If you have a signature block, please turn it off.

In the body of the message, type the following:
subscribe NIFL-workplace your first name last name

Example:
subscribe NIFL-workplace Jane Doe

There are many more listservs, ask your friends and colleagues.
