How Can Our Lending Library Help You?
Answer: By providing you with books for loan, free materials
to keep, and updated catalogs of our materials.

  • The Lending Library offers 30-day loans of over 3,000 books, curricula, and other materials for adult education teachers and administrators. We even send you a POSTAGE PAID address label to return the items free.
  • We offer many free materials for you to keep. Now, that's a bargain!
  • We offer free catalogs (annotated bibliographies) of all the materials we have available at the Clearinghouse.

Call 1-800-441-READ to request any of these services or visit our Web site Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy & Learning, Adult Literacy Clearinghouse

Announcing PeerLit...a communication and evaluation tool for the adult education community

More than just another hot list of educational sites, this online tool includes peer reviews of WWW resources available for use with adult learners. Commentary by educational practitioners and those interested in lifelong learning is automatically posted via individual discussion boards attached to each review.

PeerLit (Peers Evaluation Educational Resources for Learners using Instructional Technology, http://www.pbs.org/als/agenda/articles/litlink2.html) is the first portion of the LiteracyLink to be released to the public.

LiteracyLink http://litlink.ket.org/index.html is a partnership of the Public Broadcasting System, the National Center of Adult Literacy, Kentucky Educational Television, and the Kentucky Department of Education.
