A Few Selected ResourcesThe National Center for ESL Literacy Education publishes the NCLE Notes twice a year. The most current issue can be downloaded from http://www.cal.org/ in either HTML or PDF format. This issue contains an article on integrating civics content with language skill development; an update of the development of the computer-assisted BEST oral assessment; and information on the draft vision paper for adult ESL. Also new from NCLE is a Q & A entitled Dialogue Journals: Interactive Writing to Develop Language and Literacy. A new feature on the ERIC/ACVE Web site allows you to see these "in-process" materials before they appear in either the online or print indexes. You can search the file by many ERIC database fields, limit to just journal articles or documents, or browse their most recent weekly additions.
