January 2006, former student worker Hector Rodriguez serves our country in Pakistan
May-June 2006 issue of Texas Aggie in their "Former Student News From the Front" section:
Gov. Rick Perry '72 visited troops at the Qasim Air Base in Islamabad, Pakistan. Qasim is currently being shared with coalition partner, Australia. The day the photo was taken, January 26, is known as Australia Day, hence, the Australian flag in the background. The Australians were kind enough to invite the group to their festivities.

From left to right, Spc. Philip Hensley '04, 1st Lt. Hector Rodriguez '02, Gov. Rick Perry '72, Spc. Michael Willson '03. [Used with permission from Texas Aggie magazine.]
