Program Report Timelines

Even Start requires that grantees submit program reports on a quarterly basis through the Texas Even Start Information Reporting System (TESPIRS) system. The reporting schedule, is listed below. The Adult Education Guidance Information System (AEGIS) electronically matches grantee applications with quarterly reports to determine if programs are meeting performance guidelines. AEGIS will rate a program “Out of Compliance” if program reports are not submitted according to the schedule below. More information on TESPIRS can be found later in this section of the manual. Beginning June, 2007, the program year shifts to July 1 through June 30. Reporting deadlines listed here begin in the 2007-08 program year.

First Quarter of Program Year	July 1 – September 30	October 15
Second Quarter of Program Year	October 1 – December 31	January 15
Third Quarter of Program Year	January 1 – March 31	April 15
Final Expenditure Report of Program Year	April 1 – June 30	July 30

Additionally, independent evaluators prepare reports based on program data and their observations of the program. The final evaluation report from the independent evaluator is due 30 days after the close of the fiscal year.
