Texas Educating Adults Management System (TEAMS)

TEAMS is the Texas Educating Adults Management System. It is a database that captures specific information about each adult education participant. TEAMS tracks contact hours and assessment data, and then calculates program performance on adult education indicators of performance quality. Students are issued a unique student number in TEAMS.

TEAMS is generally maintained by the adult education provider. If you partner with an adult education cooperative for adult education services, it is likely that the adult education cooperative collects TEAMS data from instructors on a regular basis and enters it into TEAMS. TEAMS is located in the Texas Education Agengy (TEA) Secure Environment, or TEA SE. TEAMS requires a TEA SE user ID and a password with permission to access the TEAMS application. The access request form is located on the TEA web site at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/forms/tease/teams.htm. Permission to view TEAMS data would be required from the adult education cooperative.

If the Even Start program enters its own data into TEAMS, a fiscal agent code must be assigned prior to entering data. A fiscal agent code may be requested using the same access form referenced above. Complete the form, sign it and fax or mail it to Texas LEARNS. Simply hand write this message on the form, “Please assign a fiscal agent code.”
