Credential Model CREDITS
The Texas Adult Education Credential Model is the outcome of a three-year
Adult Education Credential Project conducted by the Texas State University
The Education Institute (TEI).
The main objective of the project was to study the nature of the adult
education workforce and to propose a credentialing process that would
support the field. The GREAT Centers have been asked to develop a plan
for implementation of the Texas Adult Education Credential Model within
their regions.
Participation in the Credential Model is voluntary. Teachers who desire
to seek the Adult Education Credential must complete at least 125 points
assigned to six different content areas:

| Diverse Learning Styles, Abilities
and Cultures |
20 |
| Integrating Technology into Adult
