Texas Even Start Administrative Manual
June 2004, (Revised January 2008, September 2008)
Application and Funding
Electronic submission of Even Start applications was piloted in 2003.
All discretionary grants in Adult Education and Even Start
were moved to the eGrant format in 2004. The eGrant applications are
available online through the Texas Education Agency Secure Environment
(TEA
SE).
Applicants must request a user ID and
password to access the eGrants application. Applicants complete their
application online, including any attachments and submit it electronically.
Paper submissions or attachments are no longer accepted. The eGrants
are reviewed by a panel of readers and scored electronically. Applicants
can track the status of their application by signing into the eGrant
software application. The Notice of Grant Award (NOGA)
is posted when an application is approved. The applicant can print a
NOGA at any time. Amendments are submitted in the same manner as the
application. The eGrants process reduces the paperwork burden on programs
and expedites the review process.
