- Texas public school districts, charter schools, Education Service Centers, TCALL members/TEA-funded service providers (a.k.a “members”) may reproduce and use copies of the Materials and Related Materials for their educational use without obtaining permission from Texas A&M.
- Residents of the state of Texas may reproduce and use copies of the Materials and Related Materials for individual personal use only without obtaining written permission of Texas A&M.

TEA and Texas A&M will not copyright best practices or information shared through the TCALL website, Clearinghouse, or publications submitted by your TCALL members/TEA-funded service providers (a.k.a. “members”). Sharing a best practice (a.k.a. “best practice, tools, research findings, or products, etc”) through any of the aforementioned mediums does not in any way prevent a contributor (TCALL members) from sharing the best practice with any other entity or using the information in any way as the authors see fit.
Some individuals might be unclear as to how the TEA/Texas A&M Copyright Notice (listed above) applies to the TCALL website, Clearinghouse, or publications. Any best practices developed by TCALL members are usually owned by the individual member and therefore not covered by the TEA/Texas A&M Copyright Notice. However, if the contributor used material owned by TEA or Texas A&M within the best practice submitted, the contributor/member may share the best practice with any Texas public school district, ESC, approved Charter school, member, or service provider in accordance with the TEA/Texas A&M Copyright Notice. If the best practice submitted by the contributor contains TEA/Texas A&M owned material and the contributor wants to market and sell the best practice to an entity that is not a Texas public school district, ESC, or approved Charter school, member, or service provider, then the contributor must contact the Texas A&M Office of Technology Commercialization for a license agreement.
Any content created by TEA/Texas A&M and their staff that is placed on any medium funded by the TEA grant, such as the best practice summaries, research findings, etc. are copyrighted by TEA/Texas A&M. The TEA generated materials may be used by Texas public school districts, approved Charter schools, and ESCs, members, and service providers for their educational use without permission from TEA in accordance with TEA's copyright notice.If the contributor wants to market and sell the best practice to an entity that is not a Texas public school district, ESC, or approved Charter school, member, or service provider, then the contributor must contact the Texas A&M Office of Technology Commercialization for a license agreement.
