Additional Information: Class information: (512) 223-5123. Travis county is covered by the Austin Community College Co-op with Austin Learning Academy serving a limited neighborhood of Austin. The Austin Community College Adult Education Department helps people who: are not required to be in secondary school, who need to improve their English reading, writing and speaking skills and who need to develop their academic skills and knowledge to earn the General Educational Development (GED) Certificate. Programs: ESL, EL Civics, ABE and GED. Locations: Classes are offered in many locations throughout Travis County. Audience: Any person 17 years old or older living permanently in the U.S. is allowed to attend. Cost: All Adult Education classes are free.
